These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website (https://luminos-tech.vercel.app) and services provided by Luminos Tech ("we", "us", "our"). By requesting service or using our site, you agree to these Terms.
Services
We provide diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, data recovery, custom PC building, and small-business IT services. Services are subject to technician availability and parts supply. We may refuse or cancel service at our discretion (for example, safety concerns, suspected fraud, or unavailable parts).
Estimates and approvals
- We provide estimates based on initial assessment; final pricing may change after full diagnosis.
- We will seek your approval before proceeding with billable work beyond the estimate.
- Diagnosis fees may apply and are typically waived if you proceed with the repair.
Repair Authorization & Warranty Policy
- Diagnosis fees are waived when you proceed with the recommended repair.
- Most repairs include a 90-day parts & labor warranty covering installed parts and our workmanship.
- Customers must sign a repair authorization agreement before work begins, confirming the service scope and costs.
- Warranty begins on the service completion date and applies to the specific issue addressed.
- Warranty does not cover new issues, accidental damage, or problems caused by misuse after service.
Customer responsibilities
- Back up your data before service whenever possible.
- Provide accurate contact details and promptly approve/decline estimates to avoid delays.
- Remove sensitive information and sign out of accounts when feasible, or notify us of special handling needs.
Data handling and privacy
We take reasonable measures to protect your data and will only access information necessary to perform the requested service. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect information.
Parts, warranty, and returns
- Parts may be new, refurbished, or OEM-equivalent depending on availability and your preference.
- Labor and parts warranties vary by service and component; we will specify warranty terms on your invoice.
- Warranty excludes damage from impact, liquid, misuse, unauthorized modification, or software issues unrelated to the repair.
- If a part fails under warranty, our obligation is limited to repair or replacement of that part.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of data, profits, or business). Our total liability for any claim related to service is limited to the amount you paid for that specific service.
Unclaimed devices
Devices not picked up within 60 days of notification may incur storage fees. After 90 days, we may treat the device as abandoned as allowed by applicable law.
Appointments and cancellations
We strive to meet scheduled times, but delays can occur due to supply chain or diagnostic complexity. Please notify us promptly if you need to reschedule.
Payment terms
- Payment is due at completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept common payment methods; some may incur processing fees which will be disclosed.
- Past-due balances may accrue late fees as permitted by law.
Custom builds and special orders
- Custom PC builds and special-order parts may require a non-refundable deposit.
- Lead times depend on part availability and supply conditions.
- Overclocking and performance tuning are provided at your risk and may affect manufacturer warranties.
On-site services
For on-site visits, you are responsible for providing safe access and a suitable work area. Travel or minimum on-site fees may apply based on distance and time.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Venue for disputes shall be in the appropriate courts of Texas.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
